Imagine how happy your customers would be if they knew about you!

In my ebook (12 steps to improve your cashflow), in step 5, I wrote that selling is really about helping people.

You may be in business so that you can have more flexibility over your life, or you realised that working for yourself gave you a little more of what you wanted out of life. However, underlying both of those choices was to help others. Because when we feel useful our life has more meaning. We do have to be careful that we do not put others before ourselves, but, we can love ourselves and others at the same time!

Unfortunately, unless we have the balance right, often loving others can be at the expense of ourselves and our business. This is because when it comes to selling we struggle and feel uncomfortable, especially when it comes to the point where we discuss price!

In my book (Successful Business Minds), I discuss how a feeling of not being worthy of success, or simply not loving yourself can affect your price, and the conversations around your price, which results in an awkward feeling when it comes to selling. You likely also feel a bit awkward advertising your products and services, in case you come across pushy so you’ll sit in the dark and let your business stumble on.

But your business could be successful. All it takes is a change in perspective to know that you are amazing at what you do. You are worthy of a successful business, doing what you want to do, helping so many people and giving you the flexibility you need in your life.

If you struggle with selling then I encourage you to love yourself and know that you have a gift the world needs and your customers want!

If you would like additional help with changing your perspective on selling, then a course a friend of mine does, comes highly recommended. It’s an online course called The Compassionate Sales Formula, run by Alisoun Mackenzie, a compassionate marketing mentor and author of amazon bestseller Heartatude – The 9 Principles of Heart-Centered Success . The online course runs for 6 weeks. You can find out more here.

Imagine if you had a problem and it was starting to frustrate you. Then somebody, one day tells you at a networking event what they do, or you find them on social media, and you realise that they are that person who can help you! You would feel pretty happy about that wouldn’t you?

This was how I felt when I found my book mentor, Karen Williams of Librotas. A year ago I didn’t know anything about Karen and today, almost ten months from that moment of finding her on Facebook, I am on my way to publishing my second book!

Just imagine how happy your customers would be if they knew about you and the solutions you could offer them…

Have a great day! Helen x
