Business in a nutshell

Today I thought I’d write a poem describing the types of day an average business owner experiences.

You will have days where you have absolute faith in what you’re doing. You will also have days full of self-crippling doubt.

You will have days where you feel like you’re making great choices. You will also have days where your mistakes trip you up.

You will have days when you’re super productive and shouting ‘Yeeha!’ You will also have days where you feel sluggish and dream of an easy life.

You will have days where you feel super successful. You will also have days when you feel like a complete failure.

You will have days when you feel supported and encouraged. You will also have days where you feel alone and disheartened.

You will have days full of courage that will make you proud. You will also have days full of fear when you want to run and hide.

You will have days where you wish you had done this sooner. You will also have days where you question why you ever started your business.

You will have days when you feel like you’re doing the right thing by your customers and family. You will also have days where you feel you’re letting everyone down.

So when someone asks you “How is business?” be mindful of what day it is. You might want to tell them to come back and ask you again another day! 😉
