Diary blog: Book launch countdown (19 days)

19 days to go! 

I took the day off from writing, coaching and accounts yesterday to visit the lovely city of Durham and meet up with another money coach!

I talk in the book about how I don’t see competitors as competitors. I see us all trying to achieve the same thing – help people.

I came across Julie in a Facebook group and intuitively liked her. After a few more Facebook conversations, messages, texts and a phone call we decided to meet up. She lives near Harrogate, I’m near Edinburgh so we figured that Durham, which was roughly in-between us, would be a lovely place to spend the day and get to know one another.

Over lunch, a coffee and walk in the sun around the city, we realised we had far more in common than coaching people on money! We also realised that I go much deeper in an area that she skims on, equally she goes much deeper in an area that I skim on. We started to think that there could be some sort of collaboration going forward.

She is also pulling together an online course, something that could benefit my clients, particularly as I have no plans to do an online course anytime soon and I really think it would be a great accompaniment to the book.

We will see what unfolds but I do know I made a new friend yesterday.
