Book Launch Review!

EVERYONEThe evening was very surreal.

Everyone turned up, plus a few more! I got more hugs in a couple of hours than I have ever had in one day! I made some people cry with my message and the personalised note in their books. They made me cry too once I got home and reflected on the evening and opened the gifts, cards and read all the messages on social media and texts on my phone. GIFTS

I am blessed so many people came to help me celebrate especially as there were a lot of other things going on last night too. Friends, family, clients, those in my network and even people I didn’t know came from Ayrshire, Glasgow, Fife, East & West Lothian and the Borders. My book mentor came up from Portsmouth. A friend even came from Canada! Well, she was over for a few weeks anyway but the timing was just perfect.

A lots of friends couldn’t make it though but I knew they were with me in spirit.

Margaret was amazing! She was super organised and a valuable asset last night. Jill Cruikshank did a fabulous job of introducing me. No sign of the tap dance she promised though… The guys and girls at The Fruitmarket Gallery were great too and the food display was gorgeous!!FOOD

I didn’t sleep very well last night as the evening just kept replaying in my head. It happened so fast and I wanted to saviour it for longer. Doug recorded the talk and Claire, my photographer, took lots of professional photos which will be up soon but the brain is also a good video recorder too (yes I know I am showing my age now…).

I started to apply some techniques to allow me to fall asleep but then stopped. I didn’t want to not think about it.

You see we always have a choice about what we think about and how much it consumes our life. Making friends with our mind helps us with this process. Additionally, exploring what we think and why we think like we do is something that is very useful in our business especially when it comes to money and success. ME

I hope I got this message across last night. I think I did going by the comments on social media and personal messages sent to me. I didn’t rehearse my talk. There was a few notes in my head about what I wanted to say but I wanted it to be from my heart. I was a little nervous beforehand but Lester was there and we sneaked off for a mini session. 😉

I loved every minute of last night, even the nerves. If only I could go back in time and tell my younger self, who almost quit, about this evening. She would have been so much more encouraged to keep going. Yet, somehow she must have known.

During those tough times, I knew deep within me I had to keep going in my business and I had to write a book. I didn’t know how but I just stepped forward. I got lost a few times but I always found my way home.

When running a business we need to align the head, heart, body and soul. Not one or two over the others. All four must be harmony with what action is being taken. Money is very important in your business but so are the others.

Do you know what you feel about money? Do you know what success would truly look like for you? Do you love yourself and/or others enough to find out?
